The County’s plans to bridge a digital divide in Southeast Richland are moving forward.

On Tuesday, County Council voted to use $85,000 from the County’s general fund to install two miles of fiber conduit in the area as work continues on the Southeast Richland Water & Sewer Systems Expansion Project.

County Council Vice Chair Dalhi Myers gave updates on a utilities project in Southeast Richland and the County’s COVID-19 response at a Saturday tele-town hall that drew nearly 1,000 residents.
