Kendra L. Dove
Biography
Kendra L. Dove was elected Richland County Treasurer in November 2022, becoming the first African American and only the second woman to serve in this role. Prior to her election as Treasurer, Kendra served as Deputy Treasurer for over sixteen years. A lifelong resident of Richland County, Kendra graduated from Lower Richland High School. She then earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Francis Marion University and dual Master of Arts degrees from Webster University.
Kendra is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) who works to ensure that every abused and neglected child has a voice in the court system. She also serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors for the Richland County CASA Foundation. In 2013, Kendra was selected by the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) as one of seven exchange delegates from the United States to travel to Argentina.
Currently, Kendra serves as Treasurer for the South Carolina Democratic Party, a role she previously held from 2014 to 2017. Kendra is an alumna of the 2014 Class of Leadership Columbia and a graduate of Leadership South Carolina’s Class of 2023. She is a proud member of the Richland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
