DROP-OFF CENTERS

Residents living in Richland County can drop off items at either the Richland County C&D Landfill or the Lower Richland County Drop-Off site free of charge when the items originate from the place of residence and do not exceed residential limits on size/quantity. The limit for residential drop off is 4 (four) standard pickup truck loads per month. The items must meet acceptable guidelines. Proof of residency is required.

All residents who are dropping off items related to a second home, rental property or business must go to the Richland County C&D Landfill and will be charged commercial rates.

PLEASE NOTE: No trailers larger than 8 feet in length are permitted (per safety) at the Lower Richland Drop Off Center. The County recently compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions to keep the public updated on developments at the site.

RECYCLING SITES

This site will only take limited recyclable items. No disposal is allowed at the recycling site. Dumping or placing items on the grounds may be deemed a violation of County ordinance and subject to substantial fines.
