Residents of Northeast Richland have an opportunity to weigh in on plans for the area’s future.

Richland County property owners will see a decrease in property tax rates when notices go out this week, but those savings will be offset by an increase in fees for solid waste services.

A $24.2 million project to expand water and sewer access in Lower Richland is taking shape along several streets, six months after breaking ground and becoming one of the County’s largest infrastructure investments after the transportation program.

In response to residents’ concerns, the County will soon begin work to improve traffic flow and safety at a busy Village at Sandhill intersection in Northeast Richland.
