Richland County Government offices will close Tuesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

The following are highlights from Richland County Government in October.

Richland County received a 2014 Local Government Energy Leadership Award from the South Carolina Energy Office and the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.

Donny Phipps, Richland County Director of Building Codes and Inspections, was elected to the International Code Council (ICC) Board of Directors during the association’s 2014 Annual Conference.

Permit technicians from across South Carolina were updated on the newest residential building codes at a class designed to help ensure structures are built in the safest, sturdiest ways possible.
