That one word sums up the meaning behind the sirens of a Richland County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) vehicle. With each screeching blast, an EMS crew steers through bumper-to-bumper traffic or rolls quickly down back roads in response to another opportunity to save a life.

Richland County needs residents’ help in developing a plan that identifies and addresses housing and community development needs.

Richland County Council gave first reading by title only to its first two-year budget, which totals more than $1.7 billion for fiscal years 2018 and 2019.
