February's Plant of the Month is Carolina jessamine, Gelsemium sempervirens.

January's plant of the month is witch hazel, Hamamelis virginiana. 

December's "plant of the month" is mistletoe (Phoradendron serotinum). 

November's "plant of the month" is the black tupelo, Nyssa sylvatica. 

The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has awarded five Conservation Education Mini-Grants in amounts ranging from $250 to $1,000 to support local schools’ environmental efforts.
