Residents are invited to join in some summertime fun and fellowship at this year’s Community Festival hosted by Richland County Councilwoman Julie-Ann Dixon.
This outdoor music festival will take place from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at North Springs Park, located at 1320 North Springs Park Road. Entertainment will include local talent performances from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., smooth jazz and R&B performances from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. and soulful house music from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
In addition, this free, family-oriented festival will have food and drink vendors, information booths, water slides, bounce houses and other kids’ activities.
“It’s important to take the time to celebrate our neighbors and neighborhoods,” said Dixon, who represents Council District 9. “This festival is just one way to remind ourselves of the importance of community and what it means to take care of and look out for each other and make our neighborhoods safe, healthy, vibrant places to call home.”
Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets so they can comfortably enjoy the musical entertainment.
