Richland County is teaming up with a national video production company to highlight the community in a series of videos coming soon to the County’s website.
A team from CGI Communications Inc. will begin canvassing the County to gather footage for videos emphasizing tourism, quality of life, economic development and more. CGI Communications produces informational community videos for local governments across the country.
“It is the goal of CGI Communications Inc. to provide Richland County with the latest in digital marketing technology, in order to help Richland County continue to grow and thrive,” said Katie Muchard, community program director for CGI Communications.
The “Richland County Video Tour Book” is being produced at no cost to taxpayers. The video series will serve as a source of information for those looking to find out more about Richland County and all it has to offer.
Filming is scheduled to take place in June. A sales team will begin contacting local businesses to encourage them to participate in the program as well.
The videos will be featured on the County’s website, www.rcgov.us or www.richlandonline.com, as well as www.relocate.org, a CGI Communications site.
CGI Communications teamed up with the National Association of Counties to assist local governments throughout the country in promoting and showcasing their communities in a new and innovative way. The video program is at no cost to each community and the videos remain online for three years.
