(Richland PIO) – Richland County has updated the dates and locations for its ongoing series of transportation planning meetings as part of a transportation needs assessment. The drop-in style meetings are scheduled in each of the 11 Council districts during January and February.
The public input phase of the needs assessment will give community stakeholders the chance to review handouts and displays highlighting existing and planned transportation improvements and offer insight into potential future projects. Stantec Consulting Services Inc. will assist the County with the needs assessment.
Meetings began Jan. 16 and have been held in Districts 1, 4, 5, 7 and 10 so far. All remaining meetings will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the following Council districts and locations:

For Richland County, these public meetings are precursors to developing a County-wide transportation needs assessment, cost estimates and, ultimately, a Master Plan, slated for completion in April.
