Organizations impacted by COVID-19 in Richland County will have more time to apply for emergency federal funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
On Tuesday, the County extended the application deadline to Friday, Oct. 14, giving organizations an additional two weeks to apply.
Richland County is making $16 million in ARPA funding available to help small businesses, nonprofits and other organizations impacted by the pandemic. Eligible organizations can apply for the funds online via ZoomGrants: https://bit.ly/rc-arpagrant.
The County will host two upcoming information and training sessions for business and organizational leaders interested in applying for ARPA funding. The sessions will be in Council Chambers on the second floor of the County Administration Building, 2020 Hampton St., Columbia, at:
- 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21
- 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22
Staff with Richland County Administration and Budget & Grants Management, as well as third party reviewer Grant Thornton Public Sector LLC, will be on hand to discuss eligibility requirements and the application process and answer questions.
