Richland County Councilwoman Jesica Mackey, District 9, will hold her first in-person meet and greet Saturday, June 26.
“The past year has been incredibly challenging for families across the County due to the pandemic,” Mackey said. “I look forward to not only meeting more residents but also listening to their concerns and how County Council can be helpful in our collective readjustments to COVID-19.”
The free event will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Bethea Family Dentistry, 4760 Hardscrabble Road, Suite 102, Columbia. District 9 residents will have the opportunity to meet Mackey and share their thoughts and concerns about the district. Complimentary frozen treats will be served.
“This will be the first of many opportunities for open dialogue with my constituents, one of many ways we work to move Richland County forward,” Mackey said.
Mackey, who was sworn in on Jan. 5, is the youngest African-American woman to serve on County Council. She serves on the County’s Administration and Finance Committee and the Rules and Appointments Committee.
