The Richland County Planning Commission will hold a virtual meeting to discuss a set of map amendments Monday, Feb. 1.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. and stream live on the County’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/richlandonline/videos.
The full agenda can be viewed by visiting www.richlandcountysc.gov and navigating to the Planning Commission webpage.
Residents can submit comments on agenda items via email: planningcommission@richlandcountysc.gov. Comments must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28 and will be read during the meeting with their corresponding agenda item.

The Planning Commission’s vote is a recommendation to County Council. The commission will recommend either approval or denial of the request. Recommendations are forwarded to County Council for its review and action at the Zoning Public Hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23.
In order for County Council to enact a rezoning request, an ordinance amending the official zoning map must pass three readings by majority vote.
