All functions of Richland County’s Community Planning & Development Department will close 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 for staff training focused on improving services.
The in-service training will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“It is important to me that employees continue to develop and enhance their professional skills and abilities in order to elevate the level of customer service provided to the citizens of Richland County,” said County Administrator Leonardo Brown.
All divisions of the department will close for the five-hour period: Assessor, Building Inspections, Business Service Center, Community Development, Conservation, New Development/Floodplain, Planning Services (Neighborhood Improvement Program, Comprehensive Planning and Sustainability), Register of Deeds and Zoning.
The divisions will operate briefly at the start of the day, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., at which time they will close and open again at 3 p.m. The offices will resume regular office hours Tuesday, Oct. 29.
