Richland County Council meetings and similar public events continue to be held at alternative venues as renovations wrap up in Council Chambers.

All public meetings in October, including the regularly scheduled Oct. 17 County Council meeting , Oct. 24 Zoning Public Hearing and committee meetings on both days, are scheduled to be held in the Jury Selection Room of the Decker Center, located at 2500 Decker Blvd. The Richland County Council meeting will still be broadcast live and available to the public on RCTV and online at rcgov.us.

At the end of July 2017, Richland County Council approved several major renovations to Council Chambers incorporating an electronic voting system, better access for people with disabilities, improved audio/visual equipment capabilities and an updated heating and air system, among other improvements. Renovations are expected to be complete by November.
