Residents are asked to share their visions for the future of their communities as Richland County prepares to revise its zoning and land development regulations.
In 2015, residents participated in multiple series of public meetings and provided input that was used to craft updates to the County’s Comprehensive Plan, which is a detailed, community-based guide for how Richland County should consider future growth and development. To put that plan into action, Richland County is preparing to update its zoning ordinance and land development regulations – and community input is vital to the process.
Residents are asked to attend one of three upcoming public workshops to help steer the zoning and land development updates. The same information will be presented at each of these workshops:
· 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday, March 27 at Lower Richland High School, 2615 Lower Richland Blvd., Hopkins
· 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday, March 27 at Longleaf Middle School, 1160 Longreen Pkwy., Columbia
· 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at Ballentine Community Center, 1009 Bickley Road, Irmo
