· Richland County announced it will transition to a two-year budget cycle beginning July 1, 2017 for the FY18-FY19 period. The two-year budget will make more efficient use of taxpayer dollars while allowing County Council to focus on long-term needs and improve the delivery of services.

· A grant from the Richland County Conservation Commission helped fund the production of a new historical booklet titled Sarah Leverette: South Carolina lawyer, teacher, mentor, ground breaker about a well-known and well-respected female attorney.
