Richland 101, the popular course for residents who want an inside look into Richland County services and operations, is now available for viewing.
The Public Information Office produced 23 videos from the 2016 spring edition of Richland 101, a free program that gives residents an opportunity to learn about Richland County Government through facility tours, presentations and question-and-answer sessions over a period of several weeks. The Richland 101 videos air on YouTube and RCTV, the County’s government access channel.
Surveys from Richland 101 participants indicated interest in having information from the course readily available for participants to refer back to and to share with others. So recordings of each class were edited into segments ranging from five to 50 minutes and are now made public.
Some of the departments featured include Public Works, Animal Care, Probate Court, the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, the Transportation Department, the Coroner’s Office, Emergency Services and many others.
Richland 101 videos air at 9 a.m. and repeat at 9 p.m. daily on RCTV (Digital Time Warner Ch. 1302, Time Warner Ch. 2 in some parts of the County or AT&T U-Verse Ch. 99). All 23 videos can be watched anytime on the County’s YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/richlandonline.
