Registration is open for Richland 101, a free course on the basics of Richland County Government.
Classes will meet 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from March 2 to April 2. Most classes will be held at the Richland County Administration Building (2020 Hampton St.), though some special classes will be at various locations, such as the County's airport, detention center and recycle center.
Richland 101 will cover a range of subjects to give attendees insight into how tax dollars are used to provide services to residents. Speakers will include representatives and elected officials from a variety of County departments and offices. A graduation ceremony will be held on April 6 for all Richland 101 "students."
