Friends of RSWCD are a vital part of our conservation team. The annual financial support given by Friends helps us carry out our conservation and stewardship programs within the County. Please support our efforts by becoming a Friend today! Contributions are tax deductible.

Provides one youth conservation award to raise awareness about natural resources. In 2021, youth awards will celebrate the theme "Healthy Forests = Healthy Communities." |

Provides three classroom education programs for preK-12 students at one Richland County school. These hands-on programs are aligned to state academic standards and are provided at no cost to the school or teacher. |
Sunflower |
$100 |
Funds one seed variety in the Richland County Seed Sanctuary, which provides vegetable, herb, and wildflower seeds to Richland County residents to support home gardening and pollinator habitat. |
Zinnia |
$175 |
Sponsors one high school team to compete in the SC Envirothon -- an environmental science quiz bowl that promotes natural resources education and career exploration. |
Coneflower |
$250 |
Sponsors one environmental education or natural resource professional workshop. |
Blanket Flower |
$500 |
Funds one Conservation Education Mini-Grant for a conservation project at a Richland County school or educational site. |
Friends who contribute at least $100 will have the option of receiving a one-year subscription to South Carolina Wildlife Magazine (six issues), an $18 value.
