Three Richland County schools will receive funding for conservation education projects this spring, thanks to funding provided by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD) and the City of Columbia.
The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD) has selected Indya Woodfolk, a senior at Hammond School, to receive the $1,000 2018 Youth Conservation Scholarship to support her interest in conservation and her pursuit of a career in environmental sciences.
Richland County teacher David Kenga has been named South Carolina’s Conservation Teacher of the Year (Primary) by the South Carolina Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD).
The Kershaw and Richland SWCDs will host a "Conservation Partnership Field Day" in Bishopville, SC from 9am-2pm on 3/15/18.
