Columbia, SC--Nominations for Richland County's 2015-2016 Conservation Teacher and Principal of the Year will be accepted until April 8, 2016. Winners will receive cash prizes and be recognized at the District's annual banquet.  Instructions and nomination forms are available online:

Each school year, the District recognizes educators who have exhibited an outstanding commitment to conservation and environmental education.  Read about past award recipients:

Conservation Districts are political subdivisions of state government under the local direction of five-member Boards of Commissioners. In South Carolina, Conservation District boundaries conform to County boundaries.  The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District promotes the wise use of natural resources for the benefit of the citizens of Richland County.
