Pasture Field Day

We will carpool to pastures at Camp Discovery for hands-on learning.

Sessions will include soil health and pasture management, a rainfall simulator demonstration by the SC Department of Natural Resources, rotational grazing and temporary fencing techniques, weed identification and control, technical and financial assistance for pasture management, and an introduction to the Twenty-five Mile Creek Watershed 319 Program. Presenters include NRCS State Agronomist Gordon Mikell, SC Forage Specialist Dr. John Andrae, Clemson Livestock/Forages Agent Travis Mitchell, and NRCS Grazing Lands Specialist Jill Epley. Pesticide applicators may receive one Continuing Certification Hour. Lunch will be sponsored by members of the SC Grazing Lands Coalition.
