Agricultural producers, private forest land owners, representatives from agricultural and environmental organizations, and conservation agency staff members are encouraged to participate in this meeting. Local Work Group participants provide recommendations to USDA on local and state natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. This input is used to help NRCS deliver programs such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).

In South Carolina, Conservation District boundaries conform to County boundaries.
