Each school year, the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) recognizes educators who promote environmental stewardship and who create opportunities for their students to learn about natural resources and conservation. "I wish [all students could be] exposed to a teacher who educates them about the environment, who has enthusiasm for stewardship, and who instills some of that enthusiasm in the kids," says Richland SWCD Chairman Kenny Mullis.
