Dry Hydrants

Richland County, in partnership with the Richland Conservation District and the Resource Conservation and Development Council have established a program to assist rural landowners and fire districts to improve the supply of water for fire protection which reduces loss of life and damage to property. Over 25 systems have been installed in various locations for fire protection. To qualify, you must have an available water supply and sign an agreement with Richland County to install a designed system that can serve rural citizens. For more information, contact our conservation office or EMS in Richland County
