A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open Thursday, Oct. 24 at Richland Library Main, 1431 Assembly St., Columbia, to provide in-person assistance to residents affected by Hurricane Helene. 

The DRC will remain open through Wednesday, Oct. 30. See the graphic below for operating hours. 

The Federal Emergency Management Agency makes DRC facilities accessible so people can learn more about FEMA and other disaster assistance programs. You may also visit to ask questions about your case.

The DRC can help people:

• Learn more about disaster assistance programs
• Learn the status of your FEMA application
• Understand any letters you get from FEMA
• Find housing and rental assistance information
